I have been working intensively in clay since 1986 when I began an Associate Diploma at the Canberra Institute of the Arts.  The human form has been my major preoccupation and I have spent a great deal of time studying portraiture.  I explore surface texture and colour in relation to my ceramic sculptural figures that are becoming increasingly stylised.  I am now beginning to also work in bronze.  My themes explore the issues that frame my understanding of the world and the human condition. I have a studio at Strathnairn Arts Association (2005 – 2010) and teach secondary education Visual Arts and Photography.
